How Student s View On University s Police Department Essay

How student’s view their university’s police department is important to maintain positive interactions between the two parties. I have worked with UPD officers quite a bit and I have a positive view of UPD, but I know that many other students do not see them the same way I do. If there were more information on how college students view UPD officers there could be some specific actions taken by UPD to increase their appeal. To figure out how college students view UPD officers, my research question was: How do different subgroups of USD college students see UPD officers? Literature Review Knowledge is power and a college campus is the gathering place for those who understand this rule. Properly collecting large amounts of data in the form of opinions and thoughts of those who go to a college is important to evoke conversations and provide answers to various topics. The following literature review will take a look at four surveys that were taken place on college campuses to see how proper survey creation and distribution is needed to collect quality data. Thinking up of questions for a large-scale survey is a multi-step process, and this will become clear with the explaining of the layout of a few surveys.
